Bateau Bay Shed held it’s AGM on Tuesday 15/08/2023. There was a
mediocre turn out of 27 members of 80. A vote was not necessary as the
Admin & committee nominated were not contested.The only changes were
Graham Craike who stepped down as Vice president & that position
was taken by Steve Harris. The other change was Richard Howison vacated
the secretarial position which was taken over by Neil Elliot. Due to ill
health John Mills could no longer be a committee member & vacated
that position and was replaced by Richard Thorpe. Other than that all
other positions remained the same.
Before our AGM the committee decided to present 2 valuable members with Life Membership. Graham Craike joined the shed on 19/11/2009 & has been Vice President since 2012. Since joining he has worked tirelessly making all sorts of shelters and nesting boxes for our wildlife. This has been a continuing source of income for the shed.
Richard Howison has been Secretary for the past 9 years. He has been diligent in creating a fully functioning system to keep our mandatory paperwork in order. He need to resign this year as he is moving further north. The Shed will miss his expertise but he is showing our new Secretary the ropes before he goes.
